Plastic molds give plastic products a complete configuration and precise dimensions. It is a tool used with plastic molding machines in the plastic processing industry. According to different molding methods, it can be divided into different mold types. The plastic particles are filled into the mold through high temperature liquefaction. In the cavity, through the collaborative use of various systems or auxiliary mechanisms in the mold, industrial parts and tools of specific shape, size, function and quality are produced. Common mold classifications can be divided into the following categories:
1. Single parting surface injection mold
When opening the mold, separate the movable mold from the fixed mold, so that the plastic parts are taken out. This is called a single parting surface mold or a double-plate mold. It is the simplest and most basic form of injection mold. It can be used according to needs. Designed as a single-cavity injection mold or a multi-cavity injection mold, it is the most widely used injection mold.
2. Double parting surface injection
The fixed mold part of the double parting surface injection mold adds an intermediate plate that can be moved locally. The double parting surface injection mold has two parting surfaces, so it is also called a three-plate injection mold, which is often used for a single cavity with point gate feeding. Or a multi-cavity injection mold. When the mold is opened, the middle plate and the fixed template are in the fixed mold, and the guide posts are separated by a certain distance, so that the condensate of the pouring system can be taken out between the two molds.
3. Injection mold with lateral parting and core pulling mechanism
After injection molding, the inclined section of the bending pin fixed on the fixed template forces the slider to move outward. When the plastic part has a side hole or a side groove, the push rod of the demolding mechanism pushes the push plate to make the plastic part move from the core To take it off, it needs to be molded with a laterally movable core or slider.
4. Injection mold with movable forming parts
The injection mold is required to have movable molding parts. Due to the special structure of the plastic parts, it can be removed from the mold together with the plastic parts during the demolding process.
5. Automatic thread unloading injection mold
For threaded plastic parts, when automatic demolding is required, a rotatable screw core or ring can be set on the mold by using the mold opening action or the rotation mechanism of the injection molding machine, or a special transmission device can drive the screw core or screw. The molding ring rotates to eject the plastic part.
6. No runner injection mold
The method of heat insulation and heating. The runnerless injection mold refers to the runner, so that there is no condensate in the pouring system when the plastic part is taken out, so that the plastic can be kept in a molten state between the nozzle and the cavity of the injection molding machine. The former is called adiabatic flow Channel injection mold, the latter is called hot runner injection mold.
7. Right-angle injection mold
Unlike other injection molds, right-angle injection molds are only suitable for angle injection molding machines. The feeding direction of this mold is perpendicular to the opening and closing direction, and its cross-sectional area is usually constant. The main runner is located in the fixed mold and the parting of East China. On both sides, the end of the main runner can be equipped with replaceable runner inserts to prevent the nozzle of the injection molding machine and the inlet end of the main runner from wearing and deforming.
8. Injection mold with demoulding mechanism on fixed mold
In most injection molds, the demolding device is installed on the side of the movable mold, which is conducive to the work of the ejector in the opening and closing system of the injection molding machine. In actual production, because some plastic parts are limited by the shape, it is best to The plastic parts remain on the side of the fixed mold, so it is necessary to set a demoulding mechanism on the side of the fixed mold.
